Book Review: Waking Up Married by Mira Lyn Kelly
Rating Scale: ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
“I want you to admit I can give you more than you can have alone.”
Who still needs to read Waking Up Married by Mira Lyn Kelly? I recommend this book indefinitely to make this book your next read pronto! It was a phenomenal book with all the feels, including uncertainty between the characters.
Conner Reed was on a mention to finding a wife without any emotional attachment. In this business arrangement, he wanted a wife to fulfill all his needs, including having children. He propositioned a marriage of convenience to Megan, who decided to follow Connor’s plan. Plus, it helped Megan wanted a family of her own.
“Have I mentioned how happy I am you married me?”
They both give the marriage a try and find out it’s more challenging than it seems. They both have a backstory that makes them feel they are not good enough for anyone in a relationship. Even with ups and downs, they give it their all until a particular event occurs and cracks their foundation.
“I love you Megan. I didn’t think it was something I had in me, but that was because I’d never experienced it before I met you.”
After going through a period of self-reflection, Connor comes to a profound realization – Megan is his other half. He can’t imagine a future without her, and the thought of losing her forever is difficult. Filled with disappointment, Connor makes it his mission to win Megan back at any cost.
Recognizing the gravity of his mistakes, Connor understands that he must again prove himself worthy of Megan’s love and trust. He puts aside his pride and approaches her, his heart filled with a mix of hope and anxiety. Knowing he hurt her deeply, Connor makes it a point to grovel, to win back the love of Megan’s heart. The path to rebuilding Megan’s trust is a challenging one, to say the least.
Connor is patient, understanding, and demonstrates his ability to change. He actively listens and addresses her concerns with love. He realizes that actions speak louder than words, and he is determined to show Megan that he has learned from his mistakes and is willing to put in the effort to make their relationship more robust than ever.
Slowly but surely, Megan starts to see the authentic transformation in Connor. She witnesses his unwavering dedication and willingness to make amends, and her heart softens. While forgiveness does not come overnight, Megan starts to believe in the possibility of a renewed future together.
Finally, Connor recovers Megan’s heart through his consistent efforts. Their love, though tested and challenged, emerges even stronger than before. They find solace in each other’s arms, knowing they have conquered all obstacles that once threatened to tear them apart.
This reunion is a testament to the power of love and the strength of forgiveness. Together, they vow to cherish and sustain their relationship, embracing a second chance of love.
I adored this marriage of convenience romance love story turning into true love. With every page turn, Mira Lyn Kelly had me completely enthralled by her storytelling. I am rating “Waking Up Married” five hearts out of five! I can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series. Happy reading!
